The Next Chapter: Seesmic

The Next Chapter: Seesmic

Posted on 09. Mar, 2010 by Andrew Dumont in Random Musings, Startup Life

With my role at Tatango moving from present to past-tense, a world of opportunity emerged. Within the first week of unemployment, I was presented with more professional engagements than I ever could have imagined. During that time, I worked as a consultant for several firms in hopes of eventually finding a place that I could call home, with no luck. Until today. I’m happy to say that I’ve found that home, at a San Francisco based startup Seesmic, as the Business Development Executive.
Seesmic has an astounding history with a strong venture backing, an even stronger management team and a userbase to back. The company offers a handful of social networking desktop, mobile and web apps to better management of Facebook, Twitter, etc. I’ll be joining the team primarily to aid in the advancement of their Seesmic Look product by adding big brands to their already impressive userbase.
I couldn’t be more excited about not only working with the brilliant guys that make up the team at Seesmic but also in a position that allows me to utilize my innate sales skills.
With that said, let the games begin. The next chapter starts now.

I’m happy to say that I’ve found that home, at a San Francisco based startup Seesmic, as the Business Development Executive. The position is remote (for the time being), which means I will not be relocating – for all of you that were curious.

Seesmic has an astounding history with a strong venture backing, an even stronger management team and userbase to back. Rafe Needleman of CNET described Seesmic as, “The gateway to all of your social services, no matter what platform you’re on at the moment.” I’ll be joining the team primarily to aid in the advancement of their Seesmic Look product, by working to add big brands to their already impressive base.

Frankly, I’m pumped. I’m extremely fortunate for the opportunity to work with not only an amazing product, but a brilliant team as well. Seesmic has a very bright future ahead and I’m very excited to be a part of it all. For more info on Seesmic, head over to their CrunchBase profile here.

With that said, let the next chapter begin.

Loic and I chatted on and off while I was at Tatango, but I think it’s safe to say that your DM sparked the conversation. Cheers, my man.

Eh, I’ll only take credit for having mentioned you to each other at the time. I’m sure it would have come about anyway without me. ;-) Congrats, man. Sounds like a really exciting time.

Congrats, Andrew. You are going to do big things. If you are in the D.C area at all this summer, let me know. I’d love to grab lunch.
